Project entitled “Designing and Deploying Automated Adverse Drug Reaction Surveillance System”. The main goal of the project is to design and deploy an automated comprehensive surveillance system to monitor potential adverse reactions in patients newly started on medications. Over 4,000 patients were reached by text message to inquire about any symptoms from new medicines they were recently prescribed.
The app aims to offer pharmacists a simple to use, automated way to monitor potential adverse reactions to new medication of enrolled patients.
I designed a simple, friendly logo to convey the app's goal.
The first screen the pharmacist sees after login is a dashboard offering at a glance relevant insight into all the important categories of actions they are required to oversee in the project, with hierarchical and visual accent on the messages that wait for a direct response.
The most loaded screen in terms of functionality is the one where the pharmacist needs to respond to the patients messages that require non-automated attention. The main functionality is that of messaging, with possibility to perform several predetermined actions - add notes, side effects and other issues, and schedule follow-ups. The main area is taken by the messaging, with the list of patients on the left side and the functionality of different other possible actions on a drop-down right area.
